Q:	Are there vehicle dropping charges for one-way rentals?

A:	Dropping Charges are applicable when rental cars are returned to a different location from the original rental office. From Miami to Ft. Lauderdale or visa-versa is $15.

Q:	Do you charge my credit card when I make the reservation?

A:	For your own protection we do not charge the credit card until you arrive, you need to show the credit card at the time of the rental.

Q:	Do you take any deposits from my credit card?

A:	Yes, we do hold a deposit of aproximately $200.00 more than your rental amount, which is returned to your cerdit card once you returned the vehicle.

Q:	What are the applicable state taxes on rental vehicles?

A:

All rental vehicles are subject to state taxes, sales taxes and privilege fees. Taxes vary for different locations within the state of Florida, so see the schedule below to find the information regarding taxes in your specific travel destination. Miami sales tax is 7.0%. Ft. Lauderdale sales tax is 6.0%. 4.5% Privilege Fee at Miami (airport). No fee at Miami office. 10% Privilege Fee at Ft. Lauderdale (airport). No fee at Ft. Lauderdale office. Flat rate of $3.95 per contract a Port Everglades In addition to taxes and fees, a surcharge of $2.40 per day is mandatory in the state of Florida.

Q:	What happens if I return the car late?

A:	If rental vehicles are returned late, there will be additional charges for each hour past due. Late charges vary per vehicle.

Q:	Why does Royal charge an additional amount to rent a vehicle to persons under the age of 25?

A:

Royal Rent-A-Car is one of the few companies that rents automobiles to people under the age of 25. There is, however, a statistically greater number of automobile accidents involving drivers in this age group. As a result, we do charge renters under the age of 25 an additional amount of $19.95 per day to cover the increased exposure.
